Now that you mention it, it does. I suppose it is the german or alsatian version of a coddle. There are a lot of dishes , especially national dishes from different countries, that resemble each other but use ingredients indigenous to the country of origin.
but its a funny topic in our house the coddle .i always know that the in a coddle stock is always bright looking but if u ask any body from the in'er city its alway dark very funny, i think karen thinks a light stock is just mad haha shes mad i think..
